Technical Claims Specialist

About this job:This person will be working with the Claims team in the Minneapolis Office and will be responsible for assisting in the development and facilitation of on-the-job training within the Claims team as well as conducting quality audits to include quality coaching of staff.  Additional responsibilities include supporting the Manager of Claims as a subject matter expert and assisting in the complete and accurate adjudication of claims when needed. This position does not have direct reports.Core duties and responsibilities:Create and maintain standardized best practices in all organizational areas, including but not limited to, workflow assessment, procedures, training manual development and maintenance, as well as excellence in documentation and complianceContinuous evaluation of claims processes and operations for areas of improvement via learning, training and individual associate developmentCompletion of random audits of claims activities, internal as well as external client-based, to include reporting of overall findings, analysis of finding trends and recommendations for improvementOn-the-job training of new claims team members as well as ongoing mentoring for any development needsAssist leadership in management of daily inventory, operational and edit reports; provide recommendations for improvement and / or enhancementBuild and maintain proactive and positive working relationships with clients and brokersActive participation in client implementation activities and cross-functional initiativesEngagement in projects and process improvement initiatives to include facilitation of claims work groups, as requested by leadership
