NOW Hiring self-motivated individuals to fill multiple Non-Ferrous/Receiving Associate positions for a scrap metal processing facility.
Location: Mankato, MN
Days: Mon. – Friday 7.00 am – 3.30
Wage; $20/hr.
Under supervision, loads and unloads material from customer vehicles or trucks and sorts into appropriate areas, uses mechanized equipment to sort and/or break down material for customer use.
Provides great customer service at our retail scale by providing prompt service, weighing material and properly inspecting & identifying material.
Correctly enter customer and product information into our system.
Learn and operate machines (forklift, balers, shaker table, etc.) to help with the recycling process.
Work in a warehouse type environment and periodically outside.
· Candidate must wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard.
· Follows company safety standards at all times.
Job Duties
Inspects inbound material received from customers.
Identifies metals by type and sorts different grades of material according to specifications.
Processes material by manual and mechanical means for storage or down-sizing.
Packages metals in the appropriate manner for shipping and or storage.
Moves material in the yard or warehouse area utilizing forklift, bobcat, or pay loader
May use torching equipment to break down material
Must be able to operate computers for purchasing and inventory means.
Must be able to work quickly and efficiently with others.
Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
Qualifications/Skills
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Candidate must be able to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
Experience operating heavy machinery, some mechanical aptitude is necessary. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.
