Join the talented, engaged and inclusive workforce dedicated to creating a better Minnesota.This position participates in the utilization and timely, accurate, completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) including the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment tool, Rehabilitation Utilization Group (RUG), triggered Care Assessment Areas (CATs) and Care Area Assessments (CAAs), in accordance with Federal, State and Veterans Administration regulations, as well as Medicare and managed care guidelines for billing and reimbursement.Minimum QualificationsTo facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume/application clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.

Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.

Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing facility, with primary responsibility for coordinating and assessing plan of care.

Experience with clinical documentation and writing investigative reports.

Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to skilled nursing and state survey.

Effective communication skills

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

If you are not currently licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse, you must be able to obtain licensure by date of hire.Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of gerontology and the ability to apply it effectively in resident care situations.

Experience with Medicare requirements and documentation.

Working knowledge of a variety of computer applications.

Experience with MDS 3.0.

A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.
