Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Junior Web Developer for our Lakeville, Minnesota corporate office. Job Summary: Leveraging technical skills and knowledge, the Junior Web Developer will assist in writing code, building applications, testing, and maintaining the midwestvet.net website and corporate intranet on the IBM Websphere platform. Essential Job Functions: Help the development team conceptualize, design, produce, and deliver new site features/functionality by collaborating with others. Consistently work to improve the customer's online experience ensuring the website is user friendly, high performing, and offers a compelling, reliable experience. Manage and prioritize multiple projects. Document and communicate changes to the development team. Assist with debugging issues as they arise. Train with other developers become competent in the full management of the platform. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Ensure cross browsercompatibility. Perform quality assurance testing and communicate results to the department. Assist the development team with Google Analytics set up and maintenance. Provide training and assistance to customers and employees. Complete E-Business special projects and assignments as requested. Job Requirements & Qualifications: Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily High school diploma or GED required 4 - year degree in Computer Science or related field preferred A minimum of 1-year experience in a professional work setting Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals Web design, development and maintenance skills Strong HTML and CSS skills required JavaScript, jQuery, Dojo skills JAVA and DB2 skills Knowledge of REST based API's Responsive design skills Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software. Strong self-management skills combined with an ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills Strong customer service and teamwork skills Mental & Physical Demands: Attention to detail to assure accuracy Regular interaction with people Daily deadlines may result in a fast pace of work and stress Continuous use of hands for writing and computer keyboard Continuous use of a computer monitor requiring close vision Frequent use of a telephone - listening and speaking Ability to work at a desk throughout the day Job duties and requirements may be subject to modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
