Move items into and out of storage, kitting area and/or production areas. Follow all safety rules and instructions, maintain 5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line as required. Maintain necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensures appropriate paper flow with the materials/goods throughout the process. Perform cycle counting functions. Select containers for parts or products. Pack and seal parts, coils or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids. Load materials into/onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Complete shipping or receiving reports and records. Operate picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment and trucks to move material and finished products. Take part in the training process for all new team members. Provide input regarding the performance of new team members. Participate with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams. Work with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production. Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area. Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements. Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards. Ability to use hand tools. Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to operate hand tools. Ability to read and understand written English.
