To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. This is a job where someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets can thrive.Your responsibilities in this role
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
ERP system experience
Excel Formulas experience
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
10 Key Accounting experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Well-founded grasp of Accounting Principles
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
