Description Our client in the South Metro is seeking an experienced Payroll Professional for help cover a leave of absence for a permanent employee. The Payroll Clerk is accountable for ensuring all employees are paid timely and accurately. The position requires an analytical and methodical skillset, with a basic understanding of FLSA compliance requirements. The Payroll Clerk reports to the Payroll Manager and the Payroll Director.Responsibilities:
Gather and enter timesheets and expense reports
Administering prevailing wages
Ensure all payroll deadlines are met
Follow up on missing timesheets / expense reports
Upload timesheets/expense reports as needed
Ensure all payroll inquiries are responded to within the agreed upon SLAs
Ensure all wage and hour compliance requirements are being met
Collaborate with the Payroll Manager/Director to help Identify ways of improving and streamlining payroll processes
Assist with documenting standard operating procedures
Work collaboratively with Credit Control/Billing
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions

Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (i.e. SAP, ADP, Paychex, Kronos)
Proficient in MS Excel
An analytical mind and good math skills
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
Organizational skills / Detail oriented
