Established Property Management company is seeking a part-time (10-20 hours/week) candidate to join our team and handle day to day financial business and transactions. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced, positive environment and work well on a small team of professionals. Once trained, candidate would be able to work remotely, requiring only regular trips to our Duluth office for specific tasks. Candidate may work as an independent contractor, or could be considered as a part-time employee.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Process accounts payable and receivable, including maintenance work orders
Maintain tenant ledgers, record monthly rent payments and perform ongoing rent collections
Process checks and deposits as needed
Conduct year-end client ledger reconciliations
Prepare annual 1099 and CRP forms
Communicate with City and utility company personnel on rental licensing, utility bills
Procure City rental license owner lists annually for VP of Operations
Set up and monitor recurring charges in our property management database
Prepare timely security deposit reconciliations following monthly tenant move- outs
Complete bank and credit card statement reconciliations
Create monthly reports and company P&L statements
Qualifications
General accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, including accounts payable and receivable
Bookkeeping experience
Understanding of QuickBooks
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
Reliable self-starter with time management skills
Quick learner of other computer applications as needed
Experience in property management or property management software is preferred but not required
Pay based on experience. $20-$30/hour range, converting to a weekly rate if independently contracting.
