Description We are seeking to hire a high energy, business-focused and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take charge of their general ledger, transaction processing, and monthly closing process.The Senior Accountant will help drive and control that growth, both organically and through acquisition, as well as continue to improve the timeliness and quality of financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will possess broad accounting knowledge as well as analytic capabilities and systems aptitude to delve into transactions in detail and ensure US GAAP compliant accounting.This position will work closely with the Controller and with the various department managers. A fast-paced environment and team culture is ideal for a candidate wishing to develop and expand within a dynamic, profitable business. This position requires strong collaborative skills to partner across the organization and will be closely involved in the integration of recent acquisitions and preparations for annual audit.The Senior Accountant will be expected to provide business analysis, strategic insight, and tactical financial support. This position will have the core role in the monthly reporting process as well as in the preparation of documentation for the annual audit. This role is one of high visibility within the organization and a successful candidate would be poised for promotion and ongoing career growth.Responsibilities include:

Maintaining the company’s books in compliance with US GAAP. Ensuring that all transactions are booked in a timely and accurate manner.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Cash transactions and bank reconciliations

Accounts receivable and payable

Credit card transactions and controls

Intercompany transactions and consolidation entries

Fixed Asset purchases and depreciation schedules

Establishing and maintaining internal controls to limit the possibility of fraud and material error

Driving the monthly closing process, ensuring a timely closing and internal reporting of financial results

Ensuring proper documentation is provided to external auditors in a thorough and timely manner and that the internal financial results require no significant adjustments during the audit process

Performing basic bookkeeping and accounting functions for other related entities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required

CPA is strongly preferred

Outstanding skills in accounting systems and comprehensive ERP systems, particularly QuickBooks and Sage Intacct. EMR implementation experience is ideal

Relevant experience in accounting role in a manufacturing or contractor setting with progressively increased responsibilities throughout career

Experience as a self-starter and assistance with the build and/or restructure of the accounting function is strongly preferred

Experience in the private equity space is preferred

Excellent organizational and communication skills; both verbal and written. This position will work across the organization.

Experience with Mergers and Acquisition will be viewed favorably
