Description INVENTORY ACCOUNTANT - Well Known Company in the Suwanee areaMy client, a very well-known company in the Suwanee area, is searching for an Inventory Accountant to join their team for an immediate, direct hire opportunity. The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for tracking and reconciling inventory, pricing and standard costing of inventory. The Inventory Accountant is an integral position within the organization with excellent opportunities for growth and career development.Your responsibilities:
Participate in month end close procedures to value inventory.
Review inventory receiving for accuracy and post journal entries to the general ledger required activity.
Maintain both standard costs and Bills of Material (BOM) for all manufactured items.
Periodically review general ledger and financial statements.
Maintain established procedures for documenting standard costs and inventory values.
Reconcile general ledger accounts relating to inventory.
Assist with the preparation of audit schedules as necessary.
Conduct plant Inventory Cycle Count Audits (some travel required).
Create and maintain Access database and generate reports and queries as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field of study.
1+ years in corporate accounting environment with manufacturing experience.
1+ years inventory accounting experience with a manufacturing company.
Thorough understanding of current accounting principles.
Previous cost accounting experience.
Advanced knowledge and experience with office productivity tools (MS Office-Excel and Access).
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Detail Oriented with strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
