Environmental Geologist - 4 years min experience

AECOM is seeking a self-motivated Geologist to to support a large ongoing project at our client site in Ashland, Wisconsin, with opportunities to support additional projects with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations, and remediation. The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, and geochemical data in both field and office settings. Field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. Office activities will involve preparation of investigation reports and management of data. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.Additional Responsibilities:Operate equipment such as skid steers and excavators.Direct subcontractors and perform supervisory work.Screen soil and debris for contaminants.Perform manual digging.Collect soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air samples.Manually process residual solid products (e.g., size and wet).Document work completed.Conduct general operation and maintenance tasks.
