ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Sharpens knives, scissors and blades used for plant operation.
Clean knives, scissors and blades used for plant operations.
Monitor and maintain knife and blade inventory.
Performs hourly steeling and routine sharpening of knives and scissors as needed for efficient production.
Keep work station need and orderly.
Keeps sharpening equipment in proper working order.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations.
Considerable ability to sharpen knives, scissors and blades.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Working skills in communication.
