OverviewM Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, located in Burnsville MN, is looking for a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Medical/Surgical Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit. Are you looking to make an impact on the physical, emotional and cultural needs of patients and their families? Join our team!The Nursing Manager leads nursing practice and patient care operations in collaboration with and accountable to the Nursing Director, this includes: nursing practice, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, finance and other operational accountabilities.This position supports our fast paced 39 bed unit as well as our Telemetry Monitoring hub. Patient populations include:

Cardiac medical

Post-cardiac procedural

General medical

Intermediate Care: Acute respiratory (Bipap, High-flow), Cardiac (Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Sepsis), IV Infusions (Nitroglycerin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Insulin, etc.)

Check out more of our benefits information here: https://www.fairview.org/benefits/noncontractResponsibilities Job DescriptionJob Expectations:· Leads day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.· Plans, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.· Runs equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.· Accountable for capacity management to promote patient flow.· Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives.· Responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.· Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.· Advocates for patient, family and staff needs.· Drive improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.· In partnership the Nursing Practice and Education team assure that evidence based/standard process clinical care is being delivered.· Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.· Works with Nurse Director to establish goals and objectives.· Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.· Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:RequiredEducation· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. If Bachelor’s degree is not in nursing must have a Master’s degree is nursingExperience· Four Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.License/Certification/Registration· Licensed Registered Nurse.
