In this role, you will handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements; and establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity in Burnsville, Minnesota.How you will make an impact
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets
Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records
Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience desired
Highly organized and self-motivated
Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
