Adecco is partnering with a local client in Brooklyn Center for a direct-hire Machinist with a growing company.Pay: $26-32 per hourLocation type: OnsiteSchedule: Monday - FridayHours: 6 AM - 2:30 PMResponsibilities:
Study work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to plan machining processes
Manage stock inventory and place orders as needed
Program mills and lathes, set tool registers, and calculate requirements
Set up machinery and ensure proper operation
Verify settings and maintain specifications according to international standards
Troubleshoot processes and perform maintenance to ensure safe operations
Collaborate with team members to optimize efficiency and quality
Accountabilities:
Plan machining processes according to specifications
Manage stock inventory and order materials
Program and set up mills and lathes
Verify settings and maintain quality standards
Ensure safe operations and perform equipment maintenance
Requirements:
Manual machining experience with Bridgeport and Lathe machines
Conversational programming skills
Proficiency in CNC setups and tooling
Experience with Mazak CNC machines for both milling and lathe operations
Familiarity with Hurco Machines
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T principles
1-2 years of recent machining experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift heavy loads and maintain inventory control
Knowledge of controls, instrumentation, and hydraulics preferred
Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to work independently or in a team

EDUCATION
High school degree or trade school certificate. Education can be an on-the-job experience
