Northshore Mining Company – Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking hourly Summer Workers at our Northshore Mining Facility in Babbitt, MN. These students Applications are being accepted through April 7, 2024 for temporary hourly summer students at Northshore Mining Company. Students of Northshore Mining Company employees will be given preference. Summary of Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Provide proof of full-time student enrollment for fall semester of 2024 in a post-high school education program. Preference will be given to students enrolled in 12 or more credits. Students with 8-11 credits may still be considered, but selected after students with 12 or more credits.
Verification of enrollment and/or acceptance letters (if enrollment has not yet been completed) for fall semester must be uploaded with your application. For those students with later enrollment periods, verification of enrollment must be provided ASAP, but not later than July 12, 2024, in order to be considered and to continue working.
Successful applicants must be available to start work between May 1st and June 5th and work through August.
Successful applicants will be required to sign an agreement that their employment is for a temporary, summer position, and will end at the conclusion of their assignment or at no more than 90 calendar days of active employment, whichever comes first.
As in the past, applicants will be considered on the basis of their college class-year standing, i.e. seniors, juniors, etc. (For purposes of this program, 2nd year Technical College students will be considered “Juniors”). The Company intends to notify successful applicants in April 2024.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by the hire date.
Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States.
