Job Title: Safety ManagerJob DescriptionA local union contractor is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for the company and its employees.Responsibilities
Help plan and implement safety policies and procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA.
Develop, communicate, and enforce safety and claims strategies, programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with current regulations.
Lead and participate in safety inspections and audits to identify and resolve safety issues.
Monitor claims to ensure effective resolution practices are followed.
Conduct and review incident reports periodically to identify patterns, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate the performance of the company's safety and claims programs annually, using trend analysis and overall progress metrics.
Attend safety training sessions and maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
Essential Skills
Experience with safety management and safety procedures
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Health and safety experience
Experience in construction safety
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification (Preferred)
2+ years of experience managing environmental, health, and safety processes
