Seeking a Full-Time Manufacturing Engineer!Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Engineer is an integral part of the Operations Department. They work closely with various departments within the plant, including Pre-Production, Plating, Chemistry, Quality, R&D, NPPD, and Operations. They are responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes and workflows for all products being plated.Responsibilities
Serve as the operations expert on work instructions, workmanship standards, and process documents, ensuring they are followed and updated as needed.
Be an integral team member of the New Product Development team, ensuring Design for Manufacturability (DFM) on all new products and transferring them to production.
Improve existing operations to increase quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
Investigate operational problems affecting production, reporting, and recommending solutions.
Manage manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing, such as revising drawings, Travelers, accurate work instructions, workmanship standards, and process procedures.
Provide manufacturing data, such as production control charts, reliability, and process capability, to improve processes and monitor progress towards targets.
Identify ways to reduce production costs through recommendations, such as new process equipment and equipment justification to improve performance.
Collaborate with suppliers on manufacturing process improvements as needed.
Be passionate about solving customer problems and delivering an exceptional experience.
Possess a helpful, positive attitude, willing to assist co-workers and customers with any needs that arise.
Create and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Transfer new products to manufacturing, providing handoff from NPPD.
Develop new equipment specifications.
Perform Equipment Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), and validations.
Be integral in the troubleshooting and problem-solving process in manufacturing.
Essential Skills
Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
2-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering.
Experience in medical device manufacturing.
Strong experience with Qualifications and Validations using IQ/OQ/PQ.
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
Strong communication skills with demonstrated success in a team environment.
Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills focused on improving overall production quality and consistency.
Demonstrated skill and experience with CAD and CAM software.
Experience in electroplating, machining, and fabricating a variety of metals and plastics.
SolidWorks and tooling experience.
