Please review the job details below.Maxar is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to join our growing Space Business Development and Proposal team. At Maxar, our next generation spacecraft range from Earth observation to interplanetary missions, including the NASA Gateway Power and Propulsion Element (PPE). This position provides an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in developing and delivering winning proposals for our U.S. government customers.
Your proven success facilitating value-proposition development, as well as, solution development will significantly contribute to Maxar's capture and technical teams. You will bring clarity and energy to this national security and global community focused mission.This is your opportunity to lead a proposal team to effectively communicate the value-proposition and win-strategy that will directly impact space exploration, human connectivity, and global security.Location: Remote - Palo Alto CA, Herndon VA, Westminster CO, or Pasadena CAMust hold an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance, with SCI eligibility.Responsibilities:Design, development, and delivery of compliant, customer-focused proposals.Conduct proposal planning/scheduling, detailed RFP analysis, proposal kick-offs, provide small group and one-on-one coaching/guidance to team members and lead the teams through proposal product development to delivery.Develop outlines, annotated outlines, and written narrative.Facilitate costing/pricing development including scheduling of costing kick-off and price reviews.Initiate and ensure RFP and appropriate proposal sections, including pricing, are reviewed in accordance with the established proposal process.Manage the process for asking questions of the Customer in coordination with the Contracts Lead.Conduct color team reviews (e.g. Pink, Red, Gold), facilitate volume production, submission, and post-submission actions.Support proposal strategy development, theme and discriminator development, proposal planning and scheduling, and proposal artifacts development/publication.Manage the proposal budget and report spending status.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Capture, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Contracts, Multimedia, and Finance) to deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer-defined requirements and timeframes.Monitor secure government networks for potential opportunities, RFPs, and bidding instructions.Ensure on-time production and communicate the delivery plan.Manage multiple proposals simultaneously.Required Qualifications:U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident requiredBachelor's degree; 4+ years of professionally relevant experience required in lieu of degreeActive Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility8+ years of proven successful experience managing, writing, and coordinating Federal Government proposals of high complexityExperience leading proposal team members and stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Professional experience in the aerospace fieldsExperience managing NASA and government proposals greater than $500M5+ years of experience leading proposal team members and stakeholders#cjpost
#LI-LSOur salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$99,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually.Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
