Accurately process payroll for employees across multiple states (MI, OH, IN) and for two distinct entities, encompassing both union and non-union workers.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

Maintain and update payroll records, such as wages, deductions, and time off.

Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to streamline payroll processes and improve payroll system functionality.

Prepare and submit detailed reports regarding payroll operations, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.

Manage and maintain accurate records for payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits.

Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Stay current with payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.

Requirements

Requirements:

3+ years of payroll experience with a degree or certification in a related field OR 8+ years of overall payroll experience.

Proven multi-state (MI, OH, IN) and multi-entity payroll processing experience.

In-depth knowledge of payroll practices for both union and non-union environments.

Strong working knowledge of ADP payroll systems.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and numerical skills.

High degree of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Personable demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to answer payroll-related questions effectively.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and flexibility.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
