B.S. Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Ceramic Engineering, or similar field from an accredited institution.

4 Years of Materials Engineering or Metallurgy experience.

Ability to perform investigations independently and as part of a team.

Ability to travel to Howmet, supplier and customer locations, as required.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.Preferred Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Ceramic Engineering, or similar field from an accredited institution.

5 years of experience in high temperature or light-weight alloy metallurgy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with optical microscopy and metallographic preparation techniques.

Proficiency with electron optics operation and analysis techniques including backscatter and secondary imaging, EDS, EBSD and WDS.

1 Years of experience with investment casting, forging or supporting processes.

Basic Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Ceramic Engineering, or similar field from an accredited institution.

4 Years of Materials Engineering or Metallurgy experience.
