Position Purpose The Lending Manager contributes to our mission by overseeing Vibe CUs consumer loan program, responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members. The Lending Manager will provide leadership and direction to loan processing staff and work closely with the Director of Lending to provide a seamless lending experience through our delivery channels. Essential Duties

Manages and directs the consumer lending department, including activities related to the development, processing, and maintenance of consumer and indirect loans. Ensures competent, motivated staff through training, counseling, supervising, and renewing performance of staff employees.

Train and assist in supervising the loan processing staff. Assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by staff.

Ensure that lending staff meet service goals as established by the Credit Union.

Meet with employees quarterly to review previous quarter's performance, set goals for upcoming quarter, and develop plans to improve employee's performance.

Collaborate with the Director to develop forward-thinking consumer lending strategies that align with the company's financial goals, risk tolerance, and long-term vision.

The Lending Manager will also be responsible for maintaining internal and external relationships and the administration of the credit union's loan portfolios to meet established quality control requirements.

Promote the credit union by making recommendations on additional products and services that are beneficial to the member and the credit union.

Maintains awareness of changes in the lending field, including government regulation, technological advancements, consumer and market needs and preferences.

Supports in decisioning loan applications within set lending authority. Ensures compliance with credit union standards and practices and State and Federal regulations.

Must attend department meetings and required credit union in-service or training.

Must maintain the remote environment and promptly communicate inability to work due to system or equipment failures, internet/intranet inaccessibility, etc.

Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations. Possess complete knowledge of regulations governing lending for credit unions.

Perform other duties as needed.

Education/Experience

5-8 years of similar or related experience, or within the credit union/banking industry. Leadership experience required.

Has experience interpreting lending policies and procedures, including State and Federal lending regulations as well as underwriting guidelines.

Has experience originating loan policies.

Knowledge of real estate and loan operations is preferred.

Skills/Abilities

Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

Works well under pressure in a busy work environment.

Ability to multitask, meet timelines on projects, reports, loan delivery and member expectations.

Must be able to correspond effectively with business partners, dealers, coworkers, and members.
