Staff Accountant Non Profit

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant for a non profit client in the Warren area. The job function entails managing various accounting tasks, ensuring the financial data is accurate and timely. The industry in which you will be working (non profit) s broad and diverse, requiring adaptability and a keen understanding of different business practices. Responsibilities: Overseeing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness Performing bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity Managing the General Ledger, ensuring entries are updated and accurate Preparing and posting Journal Entries to track financial transactions Coordinating the Month End Close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for Utilizing accounting systems such as QuickBooks, and Excel to manage financial data Doing non profit/fund accounting Handling Payroll tasks, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.Requirements Bachelors degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred 3+ years of non profit/fund accounting experience Proficient in maintaining General Ledger, month end close, financial statements and preparing Journal Entries Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel for accounting purposes Solid skills in Payroll processing and working with a payroll serviceRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
