About this Position: Employees in this job inspect and grade fresh fruits, vegetables, and other commodities grown in or imported to Michigan to ensure compliance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) grades, standards, and phytosanitary requirements. May conduct USDA audits on farms and in firms.This is the seasonal (non-career), entry level. The employee inspects a limited number of less difficult processing produce e.g., for freezing or canning. The employee uses judgment in making decisions.
