LJJ Construction, a leader in commercial and industrial construction, seeks an experienced Vice President/Executive Project Manager to join their leadership team in Houghton, Michigan.
This is a new position in the company. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with the company President to spearhead successful projects, playing a vital role in realizing our strategic growth plan. WHAT YOU WILL DO.
Oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Provide strong leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Interact professionally and proactively with employees, subcontractors, and clients to build and maintain positive relationships.
Utilize your expertise to compile accurate budgets for construction projects and estimate job costs effectively.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and industry best practices to ensure project success.
Attend General Contractor, Pre-Bid, and other project related meetings.
Project scheduling; projects are located mainly in Houghton County, Michigan.
Prepare/submit progress billings, submittal reporting and other reports, as needed.

$70,000 - $100,000 annually based on your knowledge and industry experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
Previous experience in the construction industry and understanding of the building process is required. Current or previous Construction Project Managers, Superintendents, Construction Site Foremen, Estimators, Architects, Engineers, or those that have held a related position overseeing large projects in the construction building industry have found great success in this type of position.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience is preferred as you will manage other Project Managers.
Strong relational skills with the ability to interact professionally and proactively.
Ability to compile budgets for construction projects and estimate job costs accurately.
Ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient and organized manner.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, required.
Willingness and ability to travel to jobsite meetings (mostly local), as needed.
Valid driver’s license required.
