The Site Financial Controller serves as a financial leader and business partner to an operational site dedicated to the successful delivery of product and/or service offerings in support of business and customer goals. This individual manages all aspects of site operational finance, including but not limited to accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), direct and indirect taxes, and cash management. In partnership with local operational leaders, this role demands close and regular collaboration to drive top-line growth, gross margin expansion, OpEx discipline, and working capital efficiency.The Financial Controller plans, directs, manages, and coordinates group personnel and operational resources involved in the designated responsibilities of this function. In partnership with HR, functional leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders, this individual is expected to foster a positive work environment and a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and accountability.This is a site-based role. As such, the ideal candidate will be based within commutable distance of the LGC operational site in Traverse City, MI, USA.
 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential duties: Direct a team of financial professionals within designated site to effectively deliver on business responsibilities and objectives, while also ensuring compliance with applicable accounting regulations and financial standardsServe as financial business partner to site operational lead as well as respective cross-functional stakeholdersDiligently manage the personnel activities of direct and indirect reports, including budgeting, engagement, staffing, training, talent management, employee relations, and mentoring and coachingPartner with functional leadership to develop and execute operational plans that will enhance the productivity and profitability of direct team through the delivery of excellent standards of customer satisfactionWith direction from functional leadership, manage and execute objectives for functional areas under direct remit—including gross margin expansion, OpEx discipline, working capital delivery, delivery of annual budgets, reforecasting and rolling forecast compilation, and SIOP reporting—ensuring alignment with departmental goals and best practicesOversee and participate in business-level financial reporting for designated site, which includes month-end activities, balance sheet and cash flow management, internal financial controls, and external and internal auditsProvide financial leadership on cross-functional projects impacting designated site; may partner on global projects where requestedDevelop and maintain effective relatioships with cross-functional partners, including but not limited to Business Analytics, Group Finance, Commercial, Product Management, Supply Chain, IT, HRProvide regular updates and reporting on financial KPI’s, including variances and trends, to functional leadershipPerform other duties as required, or assigned by management, to meet business needsAdhere to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy
