About the Unit We are a 35 bed Patient Family Centered Care ( PFCC ) Rehabilitation Unit designed for patients with Intensive therapy needs. Our patient's average length of stay is between 12 –14 days. We provide a transitional setting between the hospital and the patient's home. It is ideal for those who are medically stable, motivated and able to physically tolerate three hours of therapy per day, five days per week. Our team includes patients, their families, and other medical and case management professions. We have a team approach for our patients individualized treatment plan. About Taylor Hospital A Magnet-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader serving the area since 1977. It offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography). Scope of workUnder supervision of a Nurse and following hospital policies and procedures, performs various nursing care tasks and treatments on assigned patients. Performs routine bedside nursing activities including bathing and personal grooming of patients; ambulating, moving and turning patients; assisting patients with bedpans or urinary devices; making patient beds and caring for personal property. Assists in performing additional nursing procedures such as catheterizations, suctioning, irrigating colostomies, applying restraints, giving enemas, douches and sitz baths or pericare.How we will care for you, while you care for our patients

Qualifications
Currently enrolled and attending an accredited school of registered nursing. May be enrolled in an (accredited) Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (BSN) or Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) Program.
Note: ADN graduates will required to sign a BSN completion agreement upon hire/placement in a graduate nurse position.
RN from another state awaiting Michigan Licensure (or) Graduate Nurse from accredited school of nursing awaiting retake of NCLEX or awaiting results of the last exam.
Transcripts must be provided at the time of hire and may be requested for review periodically.
Requires evidence of successful completion of adult medical-surgical rotations – theory and clinical.
Requires current BLS certification.
