Vehicle Systems ArchitectJob DescriptionThis position provides a great opportunity to work directly for the US Army's research and development center. You will be leading the charge when it comes to standing up the very first vehicle architecture integration lab, which will support various high-visibility military ground vehicle platforms. The first year of this position will involve setting up a lab environment, working with government personnel to identify and procure bench testing needs such as equipment and space.Responsibilities
Work with government personnel to identify and procure bench testing needs including equipment and space.
Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and government customers to test and verify various systems and capabilities entering the lab.
Develop a standard in collaboration with government leadership that will be applied across various platforms for testing efforts.
Run status meetings to understand how industry developments align with expectations.
Provide and receive feedback on reality versus requirements.
Present and update key stakeholders and leadership on progress and needs.
Communicate with cross-functional organizations and teammates about opportunities needing attention.
Essential Skills
Vehicle architecture knowledge sufficient to engage in discussions and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of systems testing tools, suites, processes, and standards.
Understanding of modeling software including SysML and UML, capable of working with a lead developer to plan modeling efforts.
Experience with CAN bus, MagicDraw, SysML, and Artisan Studio.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Work EnvironmentCandidates will be working in a hybrid model between home and on-site at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. You will be working directly with OEMs within the military ground vehicle domain, government engineers, and leadership, as well as various systems integrators. You will collaborate cross-functionally with many teams and present key data to stakeholders concerning the lab's progress.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62.50 - $69.71Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
