Description We are in search of a Legal Assistant to join our team in Royal Oak, Michigan. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting our growing practice within the Trust & Estate Planning industry, with the flexibility to work remotely. This role will involve working in collaboration with assigned attorneys to manage administrative services and ensure an effective daily workflow. Responsibilities: Manage attorneys' calendars and schedule appointments. Prepare and compose confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex corporate documents. Draft and edit estate planning documents under the supervision of attorneys. Prepare estate planning signing binders. Conduct time entry and billing for attorneys. Arrange travel as needed. Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client matters. Cover the front desk when necessary. Perform other assigned duties. Key Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PDF manipulation software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills with strong prooing and prioritization abilities. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in using a document management system. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of firm employees. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal assistant role, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department. Proficient in estate planning and guardianship procedures. Strong knowledge of legal research databases and legal bibliographies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with legal documentation and terminology. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
