Heather House is looking for a full-time, live-in manager / innkeeper for our Bed & Breakfast.

A landmark in Marine City, MI, the Heather House was built in 1885 its former mayor. Converted into a bed and breakfast in 1991, Heather House has been hosting guests and making memories for over 30 years!

A little more than an hour drive from Detroit, Marine City looks across the St. Claire River at our Canadian neighbors.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations
- Devise strategies and pricing to maximize room occupancy
- Marketing & Social Media
- Online guest booking and customer service
- In-person check-in and customer service
- Oversee or prepare breakfast
- Oversee or perform housekeeping, room turnover & laundry
- Collect bids for and oversee repairs & services
- Hiring and ensuring coverage of the above when on vacation and days off
Expectations
- Seasonal work intensity: periods of 7-day/week work (Summer) balanced by periods of far less than full-time work (Winter)
- Workday not to exceed 8 hours total
- On-call for guests as needed - ex. room lockout (seldom)
- Ideal candidate will be ambitious and eager to grow the business
Compensation
- Live in the Heather House for free! (Long-term partners welcome)
- Salaried Position. Base pay of $40,000 + 50% Profit Sharing
The more you maximize occupancy/revenue, the more profit there will be to share
