Description Robert Half is working with a fast-growing, dynamic team looking for a Financial Analyst who will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This role is with a company in the Non-Profit industry. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity in the Okemos, Michigan, area. To succeed in this Financial Analyst position, you will need to be comfortable with conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. The Financial Analyst will also be tasked with advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management.What you get to do every single day
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Discover the root causes of internal and external facts that are influencing performance and outcomes
Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Work next to cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Participate in planning with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively
Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Flexible individual capable of handling large amounts of information and managing expectations Requirements - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)
Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Account reconciliation experience desired
Foundational knowledge in financial analysis
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
