Position:: Ruby on Rails Developer with React Location:: Novi, Michigan Duration:: 12+ months Job Description : Looking for a collaborative React and Ruby on Rails Developer, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating phenomenal user experiences that people genuinely want to use. As part of an Agile project team, you will work closely with the business to define, design, build and release innovate solutions to provide an amazing experience for our customers and internal users. Skills and experience you'll need
- Expert in web development using React, Ruby-on-Rails, and relational database (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Background in building consumer facing applications in an AWS cloud environment
- Proactive support mindset in building applications that can be easily supported in production environments
- Good understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth and OIDC
- Experienced in Agile Application Development (5+ years)
- Enjoys and excels at problem-solving and has strong analytical skills
- Flexible mindset and able to adapt to fluid requirements and schedules
- Enjoys teaching and mentoring junior members on any of the technical skills listed
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proficient with Elixir
- Has built fully automated DevOps solutions inclusive of the network, data and application tiers
- Experience developing relational data models
- Know how to apply proactive monitoring for applications and infrastructure
- Auto Finance, Finance industry knowledge or similar
- Design, develop and Unit Test new features on consumer facing website and internal lending system using React, Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL
- Participate in peer reviews of pull requests and provide productive feedback to improve the quality of work
- Build test automation scripts for CI/CD
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, retrospective, and daily stand-ups
- Review and groom Users Stories with the project team to understand and clarify intent
- Tracks and communicates delivery progress and risks to Project Management and stakeholders
- Build B2B API integrations and work with 3rd Party counterparts for successful integration.
- Provide Production Support for the product
- Ensure coding and processes support company security, privacy and compliance principles
- Create and maintain system documentation
