Our client, a hospital in Novi, MI is looking to add two employees to their 2nd shift team (2:30pm - 11:00pm) to assist with specimen processing responsibilities. This position is GREAT for anyone looking for full time employment looking to get experience working in a hospital during this upcoming summer. This project might last 3 weeks to 2 months in duration.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimens2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Most Likely seven days a week (Mon - Fri + Sat and Sun) until project is completedRequirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

At least one year of prior specimen processing experience OR aseptic technique

Comfortable handling biological specimens

Strong data entry and organizational skills

High level of attention to detail

Proficient in MS Office

Ability to pass a standardized color-blind test
