Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Muskegon, Michigan. The role entails a variety of accounting tasks such as account payable processing, rebate reconciliation and management, inventory management, and payroll processing. Responsibilities: Process accounts payable and manage rebate reconciliation Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of cycle count results Handle general accounting functions to maintain precise financial records Assist in the implementation of accounting related projects and continuous improvement initiatives Process payroll and review changes to associates’ pay-related fields such as pay rate changes, tax exemption changes, deduction changes, and garnishment and FOC orders Handle sales, state, and federal tax depositing and reporting Post banking activity into ERP daily Maintain and complete rebate claims and reconcile credits received from subcontractors Keep track of month- and year-to-date sales representative expenses and manage data entry of all non-inventory expense payables Reconcile shipping / receiving documents with ERP and process internal inventory adjustmentsSkills required include proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, Payroll, Expense Accruals, Expense Management, Expense Reimbursements, Expense Reporting, and Inventory Reconciliation.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with Payroll processing for 101 - 500 employees Ability to handle Expense Accruals Expertise in Expense Management Experience with Expense Reimbursements Proficiency in Expense Reporting Understanding of Rebate processes Experience with Inventory Reconciliation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
