Jordan Valley Retreats is looking to hire a fund development manager to lead our organizations fundraising initiatives.

Job Summary:

The Fund Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the organization’s mission and programs. This role involves cultivating relationships with donors, securing grants, planning special events, and expanding the organization’s funding base through innovative and sustainable fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy & Planning:

Develop and execute annual fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals. Identify new opportunities for revenue growth.

Donor Cultivation & Stewardship:

Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners. Develop tailored stewardship plans to recognize and retain supporters.

Grant Writing & Management:

Research, write, and submit grant proposals; manage reporting requirements and maintain grant compliance.

Campaign Management:

Lead and coordinate fundraising campaigns, special events, and donor drives to maximize engagement and revenue.

Database Management:

Maintain accurate records of donor information, contributions, and interactions using fundraising software.

Marketing & Outreach:

Collaborate with communications teams to promote fundraising initiatives and enhance the organization’s visibility.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with program staff, board members, and volunteers to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.

Monitoring & Reporting:

Track fundraising performance metrics and prepare regular reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5+ years of proven experience in nonprofit development or fundraising.

Proven success in donor cultivation, grant writing, and campaign management.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of fundraising databases and CRM systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Passion for this organization’s mission and community engagement.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with diverse funding sources

Strong networking and relationship-building abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
