Live-In Resident Aide (Caregiving) / Personal Assistant – Housing Provided

We are a small, family-run adult foster care home seeking a dependable, compassionate live-in caregiver / personal assistant for a unique full-time position with housing included.
This dual role combines Personal Assistant duties earlier in the day with Resident Aide (caregiving) responsibilities in the evenings. You’ll live on-site in a private master suite and help keep both our household and AFC home running smoothly while making a real difference in the lives of our elderly residents.
Position Details
Housing Provided: Spacious private master suite with walk-in closet & large attached bathroom
Schedule:
Personal Assistant: Flexible daytime hours (15 hrs/week), scheduled with employer
Resident Aide (Caregiving): Evening shifts ending at 9 p.m. (20 hrs/week), including some weekends
Hours: 40 hours/week + occasional paid overtime at 1.5x regular rate
Compensation: $13–$15/hour + free room and board (all utilities & high-speed internet included)
Commitment: Must live on-site full-time; occasional on-call availability required
Pets: Allowed upon approval and compatibility with AFC home environment
Personal Assistant Duties (15 hrs/week)
Grocery shopping and errands (using employer-provided vehicle when needed)
Light cleaning and laundry
Simple meal preparation for the owners
Driving family members as needed
Decorating for holidays/events
Assisting business staff with occasional tasks
Resident Aide (Caregiving) Duties (20 hrs/week)
Provide direct care for elderly residents in a safe, respectful, and supportive way
Assist with meals, evening routines, and companionship
Light housekeeping in resident areas
Monitor resident well-being and follow safety protocols
Requirements:
Must be willing to relocate and live on-site full-time (live-in position)
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (and 30 lbs regularly for resident care)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Proactive, dependable, and comfortable with varied duties
Experience in elderly care / senior care preferred, but not required
Ability to assist in emergency situations and be on-call occasionally
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
