I receive care at my home in downtown Petoskey. The state provides all payments through my agency, and caregivers must pass a background check before they are cleared to work. No experience is necessary. I will train here. Saturday nights and Sundays. This position is permanent, with 20 to 24 hours a week.
Pay is $16/hour + $2.35 an hour for COVID-19 pay. Again, it is paid by the state.
Duties are pretty standard for a quadriplegic. They include feeding, rotating me in my bed periodically, moving me from my chair to bed, and cleaning. They also include taking care of basic household chores as needed.
