Restaurant Manager
Trailside Bar & Grill Bergland, Michigan
Are you tired of the crazy city life, the hustle and bustle? Come run your own restaurant in the rural town of Bergland located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic restaurant manager that will have the opportunity to own and operate it as their own restaurant. As our restaurant manager your main responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations and make sure that things run smoothly. Duties will include:
Managing Staff: Oversee staff including hiring, training, and scheduling.
Ordering and Inventory: Ordering food and supplies. Making sure the food and bar are properly stocked for customer demand while avoiding waste.
Menu Development: Weekly specials, specialty cocktails etc.
Financial Management: monitor financial performance and identifying opportunities to increase profitability.
Marketing: manage Facebook and other digital media with updates such as: hours, hiring needs, specials etc.
Facility maintenance: make sure the facility is maintained, coordinate repairs when necessary.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills who is highly organized. You should be able to multitask, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. You should have a great customer first attitude and be able to resolve issues with customers as they arise.
Requirements: Able to fill different positions as needed such as bar-tending, cooking, dish- washing and serving.
About us: We are a locally owned Bar and Grill located just off the snowmobile trails in Bergland, Michigan. We currently just finished our busiest season and are looking for a new individual or family who wants to run and operate the restaurant with option of owning it in the future. Bergland is a great area if you are looking to slow down life a bit and take in the things a rural town has to offer. It is located just 30 minutes south of the Porcupine Mountains and there are several outdoor attractions such as hiking trials, waterfalls, endless snowmobile trials, fishing, lakes and awesome hunting spots.
