Position Summary:
To maintain and repair all Resort property in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
Diagnose problems and make all repairs necessary including; electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural to Resort property.
Maintain swimming pools and spas by vacuuming pool bottom, scrubbing tile above water line, checking and adjusting pool chemistry, checking safety equipment, etc. Take and pass CPO certification if required by management.
Maintain rooms by either following a specific request for repairs via work tickets or completing a quality check. Must requisition parts and fill out work tickets. Assist in all maintenance related projects at Resort.
Maintain public space by a specific request for repairs or following a checklist (light checklist, etc.).
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
Maintain work vehicle record of operation to assure vehicle is in proper operating order.
Follow all MIOSHA guidelines for working safely.
Responsible for the safe and proper handling of AV equipment, keeping it clean and useable.
Assist in all tasks related to meeting room set up and break down.
Conserve energy for all unused rooms - turn off lights unless the set-up will be used in a short period of time.
Pass all required ADP training and testing.
Work with all departments at the Resort in a professional and courteous manner.
Complete all tasks assigned by management.
Guest Service/Conduct:

To that end, all Shanty Creek employees are required to adhere to Resort policies and standards of conduct while providing our guests with the highest level of service possible. No matter their position, all members of our staff may have opportunities to interact with our guests on a daily basis, therefore all employees must:
Meet, on a daily basis, the personal appearance and uniform standards as identified by the Shanty Creek Resorts Employee Handbook.
Utilize all tools provided to ensure that prompt and correct service and information is being given to our guests.
Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, maintaining the highest standards of guest service in their interactions with fellow employees, vendors, and most importantly our guests.
Professional Experience:
1 to 2 years of professional experience in facilities maintenance or other construction related areas.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Required Skills:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Certifications/licenses in maintenance related disciplines are helpful (i.e., mechanical, HVAC, electrical, etc.)
