The manager is charged with creating and maintaining a food centric retail space that is fun, approachable, educational, and customer-focused. Aside from emphasizing our killer baked goods and veggies, the space should highlight locally grown or made products and high end/gourmet non local products that compliment products of the region.

The Manager is responsible for overseeing the movement of ALL retail food products sold through the store and the cafe. This includes items made in-house and those that are re-sold (e.g., fresh produce and value-added). The Manager will supervise the hiring/firing, training, progress-monitoring, and scheduling of front-of-house staff. The Manager will collaborate with owners to creatively design the look and feel of the front-of-house space, considering everything in customer view (i.e., from price tags on products to toilet paper in the bathroom). A primary role of the Manager will be to grow sales and maintain profitability of the retail enterprise.

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.

-Work in tandem with back of house (chef and cooks) to provide a seamless guest experience and to coordinate catering activities as needed.

- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or concerns.

- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of sales associates.

- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organized store environment,.

Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong sales and negotiation abilities.

- Knowledge of local wine and a strong desire to support local food and agriculture.

-Alcohol Serving Certification (will provide training)

- Ability to provide outstanding customer service and build strong customer relationships.

- Experience in food related retail sales, with emphasis of locally grown and manufactured products.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team of sales associates.

- Proficient in using computer systems and point-of-sale software. Ability to troubleshoot POS system issues such as ticket printing, processing, returns, online sales

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, driving sales, providing exceptional customer service, and managing a team of sales associates.
