Job Title: Engineering CoordinatorJob DescriptionThis role will be responsible for supporting prospective and existing customers by preparing accurate estimates for products and projects. The Engineering Coordinator will support the Engineering and Sales teams by analyzing required documents, blueprints, and project plans to help guide customers through project completion timelines. Effective communication is crucial as this individual will work with customers daily. They will receive work from engineers and/or the sales team and will follow up with customers on their requests. Additionally, they may need to pull up drawings in CAD, modify designs, or sketch rough designs to provide appropriate estimates/quotes.Responsibilities

CAD design for engineering

Drawing revisions and updates

Create and revise bill of materials

Communicate directly with customers, internal departments, and contractors

Prepare product estimates for products sold

Create and revise Project Packets

Assist the manufacturing floor as needed on current projects and development work for manufacturing engineering projects

Assist with facility upgrade designs

Must Have Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of CAD experience in Autodesk or AutoCAD

Proficient in creating bill of materials

Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints

Experience working with customers to estimate and quote parts using estimating software

Previous work experience in a Mechanical Engineering Department or Fabrication facility

"Nice to have" Qualifications

Associates Degree in Engineering

Familiarity with code regulations (ASME)

Knowledge of a metal fabrication environment

Knowledge of material specifications

Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is 40 hours a weekThe team will work with Union Shop employees but will not be part of the Union. The company is located in southwest Michigan and is a fabricator of custom and standard pressure vessels, hot water generators, process tanks, and storage tanks. The campus covers approximately 12.5 acres with a building coverage of 110,000 square feet. Benefits include 2 weeks PTO, 6 standard holidays, and access to Udemy after 6 months of employment.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
