Job Description: This is a leadership Maintenance Position. It is not a working Maintenance Manager position. Able to help out if needed to but most of the work is managing, leading and making decisions for the third shift maintenance techs. This position will be responsible for 10-12 technicians.
Directs emergency repair of machinery and plant equipment in Casting and Machining Operations
Manages direct reports to ensure they perform with the highest level of safety, quality of work, and productivity possible
Responsible for the execution and interpretation of policies and for the successful operation of assigned units
Have authority to discipline and recommend hires/terminations
Executes the plant’s preventative maintenance plan
Duties and Responsibilities: Directs and completes all emergency repairs of plant equipment in entire plant. Directs and completes all preventative maintenance work orders in entire plant. Manages personnel in terms of evaluation, training, and communication. Maintains all work areas in a safe and orderly fashion according to plant standards. Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the manager. Reviews work orders to determine work priorities and assign them to subordinates accordingly. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure machines and equipment are properly running. Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to repair or upgrade machinery. Assigns preventative maintenance work orders to personnel based on priority and skill level of associates. Audits completed work orders to ensure that work is done properly and equipment is in safe and proper running order. Maintains the proper discipline of his subordinates and to identify and follow up with employees on cases of poor work performance. Assists the Maintenance Manager in evaluating the adequacy of the training programs and make recommendations to fulfill training needs and requirements. Conducts daily shift communication meetings with subordinates to discuss safety, reoccurring equipment problems, and to delegate assignments. Regularly monitors cross training between Casting and Machining Ensures that maintenance personnel return tools, parts, and other equipment to the proper storage place. Conducts audits to ensure that maintenance personnel complete proper 5S activity in their areas of responsibility.Additional Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance supervision 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance machine repair - CNC Machines, Casting Machines, Robotic/Automated Machines (need 2 out of 3)About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
