This leader will honor Indigenous ways of knowing and being, foster partnerships with intertribal organizations and tribal nations in the region, and lead the team on new and courageous paths that will address challenges and concerns that future generations will face. This position recognizes and honors the distinct needs of students on campus and global campus students.
Lead the CNAS in short and long-term strategic actions as well as oversee departmental activities including budget management, scheduling courses, student recruitment, faculty hiring and evaluation, grant writing, fundraising all while respecting shared governance with the university's multiple unions. This position is the liaison with the university administration and associated departments as well as the public.
