This short-term contract / temporary Bookkeeper position is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.Major responsibilities
Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
Examine payments received and record deposits
Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Maintain and balance general ledger
Balance accounts by reconciling entries
Organize a structured method to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Requirements
Prior experience working with accounting software
Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
Proven knowledge of billing
Proficiency in customer invoices
Well-founded grasp of payroll
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Earlier work involving Bookkeeping Functions
Wide ranging experience with bookkeeping
Quality experience with Bookkeeping
General familiarity with QuickBooks
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Invoice experience
Foundational knowledge in Enter Invoices
