As the Construction Project Manager / Estimator, you will oversee and be responsible for estimating all buildouts for new and current commercial tenants. You will gather bids for projects, submit purchase orders, and approve all invoices for build-out projects. You will conduct and attend meetings with tenants, prospective tenants, and staff during projects. You will coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on projects, manage the construction crew in the field, monitor job sites' daily and close out projects upon completion. You will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Property Manager and manage the Site Carpenter Supervisor, Carpenter, and Construction Helper.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Associates Degree in construction or a related field.
Michigan Builders’ License required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating specifically for commercial office, retail, and industrial projects required.
10 years of experience in framing and carpentry would be a plus.
Extensive knowledge of all building codes at the county, city, and state levels.
Experience reading and analyzing blueprints and construction and project management documents.
Experience with Xactware software or other Estimating software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
