Fleets are our future, representing a significant portion of vehicle sales and continual expected growth.In this positionIgnited by commercial customer needs, Ford Pro Charging is developing a global energy management offering for customers who are electrifying their fleets and have electrical infrastructure constraints. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who will guide the Energy Management Product Portfolio across diverse use cases to deliver hardware and software solutions that solve customer pain points. The Energy Management Product Portfolio provides customers confidence their fleet vehicles will be charged on time while staying within electrical infrastructure limits and reducing upfront infrastructure investment requirements. Energy Management solutions make EV adoption an easier choice for customers, because they integrate with each other across the portfolio, and with adjacent products and product teams to provide a seamless experience and increased value proposition.The Energy Management Product Portfolio includes:

Depot charging dynamic load management

Home charging dynamic load management

Site power meter integration

On a typical day as a Senior Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally to support the software and hardware Product Teams by ensuring alignment across the organization including Engineering, Design, Customer Experience, Marketing, Operations, and others, and outside the organization including suppliers and industry organizations. You will also benchmark direct and indirect competitors to understand the current state and project the future state of relevant technologies and charging network deployments. To gain customer insights, the Product Manager will partner with the Design and Customer Experience teams to conduct customer research including digital tests and in-person interviews. You will be responsible for the overall success of the dynamic load management products and will report to the Energy Management Product Owner who has responsibility for the overall advanced energy management portfolio.What You’ll Be Able To Do:

Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Energy Management Product Portfolio, considering market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.

Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and drive the development of Energy Management solutions, including hardware and software requirements.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and differentiate our Energy Management products in the market.

Develop product requirements, failure modes and effects analysis, and interface control documents for hardware and software integration from a systems engineering perspective.

Develop test plans and coordinate full hardware and software in the loop testing

Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing, and positioning for EV charging products.

Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback, understand their needs, and incorporate insights into product development.

Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and drive continuous improvement through iterative development and updates.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and standards related to EV charging and integrate them into product development.

You'll have

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

3+ years in a product management, systems engineering, or related role

3+ years of technical skills in the electric vehicle charging ecosystem including energy management, control systems, and/or charge management software

3+ years of experience with project management tools and methodologies

Even better, you may have

Advanced Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

5+ years in a product management, systems engineering, or related role, preferably in the electric vehicle or clean energy industry

Strong understanding of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, technology, and market dynamics

Experience with charge management software features including data reporting, notifications and alerts, and dashboard design

Knowledge of residential and commercial electrical infrastructure in North America and European markets, including single and three phase systems

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex product development projects to successful outcomes

Ability to critically evaluate priorities within and between business solutions while representing the customer voice, balanced against the business needs and resource capacity limitations

Experience with evaluating options using design thinking, and cross-functional collaboration

Experience with developing requirements documents and test plans for verification and validation of hardware and software integration

Negotiation skills and the ability to manage a wide portfolio of issues across multiple subject areas appropriately crafting concise senior leadership written and verbal communications

Strong interest in commercial products and services, including electrification trends

Ability to navigate complex systems and foster integration

Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

Excellent communicator in written and verbal form.

Passion to work in a fast-paced, global environment

Strong experience with data analysis

Proven leadership skills that energize, educate and motivate others

Ability to align and act upon business strategies to deliver the company vision
