The parts manager will oversee all aspects of the parts department. Parts Managers should have a basic mechanical understanding and the ability to identify by sight, and by name, the parts of an industry-related piece of equipment. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:Oversee and perform all transactions related to aftermarket parts purchases, sales and stockingResponsible for all aspects of inventory controlResponsible for overseeing multiple consignment inventoriesSupervise the parts department staffMonitor and maintain department profitabilityEnsure customer satisfactionMonitor and adjust inventory stocking levelsCreate, review and submit stock orders and quarterly returnsEvaluate vendors and maintain vendor relationshipsMaintain department order and cleanlinessConsistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start timeIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:2-4 years of experience preferredOperator LicenseExcellent communication skillsProfessionalismAbility to effectively manage othersComputer skills preferred- Epicor/Silk Systems, Vendor web portals, Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookLanguage Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
