Job DescriptionAbout DTMB:The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (https://youtu.be/HIrVnVjcoA) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. About this position: This position will support the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) which is responsible for Michigan’s 9,669-mile state highway system as well as state and federal transportation programs for aviation, intercity passenger services, rail freight, local public transit services, the Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF), and others.The Quality Assurance Specialist supports more than 240 IT systems. This position provides expertise and oversight for all automation testing initiatives. This position is responsible for understanding MDOT and DTMB quality objectives and developing processes and strategic plans that ensure applications are delivered meeting quality standards. The Quality Assurance Specialist will serve as the Subject Matter Expert, ensuring compliance, for all IT project testing activities and deliverables, in accordance with the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE) standards and SOM IT Governance.
