We value community outreach and have a strong presence in our neighborhoods.The HR Manager - LR/ER leads activities related to employee relations, labor relations, employee retention, legal/policy compliance, and training. You will build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and manage a variety of complex HR initiatives. You will also be consulted on a variety of topics ranging from labor/employee relations to work system designs, and everything in between. You are responsible for Training.This position is 100% onsite and reports to the HR Director.Position Summary: Serve as SME on federal, state, and local employment laws Administer various recognition programs to improve team member satisfaction & engagement Expertise to recommend mediating/negotiating settlements of discrimination complaints which includes representing Company’s interests and arguing Company position at hearings/mediation as required. Performs as a representative for the company regarding workers compensation claims. Works collaboratively with legal counsel regarding legal hearings, arbitration proceedings, and internal dispute resolutions on a variety of employment issues to ensure consistency in interpretation and application of our policies. Advise management, supervision, and team members on interpretation of the union contract, company policies, practices, and procedures. Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment Investigate root causes of employee relations issues and develop strategies to address/reduce them. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity Support equity, diversity & inclusion Coordinate the activities of various departments involved in resolving employee grievances Available on nights and weekends for urgent situationsRequired Education, Qualifications, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Business, IR, HR, etc.) 5+ years of experience in HR/LR in a manufacturing environment Strong interpersonal skills in coaching, influencing, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly proficient use of HR Systems and computer software application skills (i.e., Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Success Factors, etc.)Preferred Education, Qualifications, and Experience: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations or Business Administration HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or the SHRM equivalent) Union negotiation experience Union contract administration Experience in automotive industryTotal Rewards Information:We offer market-competitive compensation including base pay and incentive compensation opportunities based on the achievement of Company goals.
