Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionThis is a 3rd shift CNC Machinist position working 50-hour work weeks with voluntary weekends. The position involves working with various types of CNC machines, including mills, lathes, screw machines, grinders, and hydromat machines. The shop is high volume/high precision, producing upwards of 100k parts per day with tolerances of (+/-) 10-20 microns. The material used is different types and thicknesses of steel.Responsibilities
Attend daily meetings to understand the tasks and workstations assigned for the shift.
Manage up to three CNC machines at one time.
Perform up to 8 or 9 tool changes a day on all three machines.
Load CNC machines, pull and make minor edits to programs as needed.
Conduct quality checks with micrometers and calipers every 300-400 parts.
Store parts in bins and prepare them for daily shipment to customers.
Essential Skills
2 years of experience on CNC machines (screw machines, grinders, mills, lathes)
2 years of experience reading blueprints
2 years of experience making edits to existing programs
2 years minimum doing quality checks on parts using micrometers and calipers
2 years of experience cutting steel
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CNC programming experience
